On the day of Ekadashi, the Ramanama Sankirtana is celebrated after the Arati in the ashram chapel at 6:15 pm. Ramanama is a devotional practice consisting in the ritual chanting of the divine name of Rama. Ramanama Sankirtana was initiated by Swami Brahmananda, one of the direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna and the first president of the Ramakrishna Mission. Ekadashi is the 11th day after the full moon and the 11th day after the new moon.
